I don't know...I think a real FML would have gone a bit more like: "Today, my boyfriend proposed to me with a ring pop. I thought it was adorable and said yes. He started laughing and said it was just a joke. He then proceeded to eat my ring. FML" I wish my boyfriend was that creative and romantic. I doubt I'll even get a real proposal, it'll be more like "I thikn we should get married now." You're lucky. I'm jealous. But of course, you don't appreciate it.
LOL that would really suck.
LOL.Yeah, that would have sucked.. but been hilarious.
hey that is totally adorable :)
I don't get the big deal about the whole "he proposed to me at the zoo" thing. So what? I like going to the zoo, and my fiance knows I love animals, so if he had proposed to me at the zoo, I would have been happy about it (he proposed to me at home, but since I love him, it didn't matter where we were) So, if you really love the guy, the place of the proposal shouldn't even matter. As for the ring pop-- kinda cute. I agree with everyone else; he doesn't expect you to spend your life with a sticky ring pop on your finger.
Haha my husband was had been planning to ask me, but was nervous. He ended up getting shit faced, and asked me to marry him with no shirt on in or front yard in front of our drunk friends....it wasn't my dream proposal but I love him, and he made it up by giving me a $10,000 ring.... Then he puked 5 minutes later. So it may not be what you wish it was, but if you really love him, just think what a wonderful life you will have with him. Plus, ring pops are awesome.
I'd take it. That would be really cute. And I love Ring Pops.
Personally I think that's adorable. I would have said yes and then after the zoo and some cotton candy we'd go to a jeweller and start picking out rings! My husband didn't have a ring when he proposed. We bought one, together, 2 weeks later.
What did you want? An expensive dinner at a super-fancy restaurant where the waiters bring out expensive champagne and he gets down on one knee and makes some Grey's-esque speech about why he wants to marry you and gives you a rock that would sink the Titanic? Seriously, how lame! Proposals like that are a dime a dozen. Yours will be a fun story to tell your children. It sounds like this guy is serious about YOU and the fun things about you guys as a couple that make the relationship special for him (ie, going to the zoo). So many guys wouldn't even have the imagination to try to propose to you in a cute, quirky way. And who said he wouldn't be willing to buy you a real ring later? I can't say FYL or YDI...because I don't think your life is ******, nor do I think you deserve how good you have it if you can't even appreciate it.
amen.
