Maybe you should suggest he start watching another show like the BBC (not American) Sherlock and then he'll want to start his own private investigation company with you. Now THAT would be fun to watch. And your chemistry would come in handy there, too!

I get that all the time when I tell people I'm a Chemistry major. Honestly who would spend thousands on a Chemistry degree when it's clearly not needed to be a drug dealer. Any Joe Schmoe can look up how to make drugs online.

Not necessarily. Both Walt and Gale had masters in Chem and specialties in Crystallography and made probably the purest meth all around, which is why they made all that money compared to the "joe-schmos" who learned to cook off the internet. Besides with the money you'd be making in the meth business with those skills, you'd pay off that college debt in no time.

It's a show. I'm not sure I would get my business model from a fictional television show. Also, the jail time associated with dealing drugs is something no sane person wants to deal with. That coupled with knowing you've probably been the cause of a few deaths is more than enough to make me disinterested.
