Does he brush twice daily? If so, I see nothing wrong with this. I'm in Florida (state in last for dental care), so I only go to the dentist when I think I have an issue because dental insurance is rarely, if ever, offered here, and outrageously expensive. I also know tons of people that have never been to the dentist yet have beautiful teeth because they have good oral hygiene habits. Twice a year visits are excessive and unnecessary with proper care.
Well… if you hadn't noticed bad breath or something, his hygiene can't be that bad.
What I wanna know is why so many people are assuming that just because OP's boyfriend doesn't go to the dentist, he also doesn't brush his teeth. Are you guys expecting the dentist to do it for him? Honestly, I've never been to the dentist (that I remember) and I brush my teeth every day. No problems on my part.
At least he has brushed in the past 6 months... As long as he brushes and flosses it could be worse op
Brush my teeth religiously, and only been to the dentist once in the last three years. She told me my teeth are healthier than most of her frequent patients. Op is just being picky. If his teeth are brown then that's a different story
Wow, I'm amazed by the comments on here, being a dentist I can't tell you how many patients have come in saying "I haven't been to a dentist in years and everything is fine" and after a check up they can see the reality of losing many of their teeth as they're broken beyond repair. The damage doesn't have to be obvious with symptoms or a massive cavity, but it's better to go, get them checked to make sure little things don't develop into something that there's no way back from.
Or like how dentists recommend products that are good for our teeth/mouth. Yet the make money off of bad teeth.
Honestly if he still has good oral hygiene who cares about his dentist views

If he still takes care of his teeth I don't see why it matters.
He still brushes his teeth right? he doesn't use breath mints to cover his breath for 6 months?
