hahahhaha! this made me laught! bahahah the dog will take ur room as its place some day!
you're the parent of the person in charge. have you heard of the concept of power? p.s.: what kind of a retarded name is mckinley?
most likely you were probably being an pain- in-the-ass and he was trying to make a point. I'm sure this wouldn't be much of an FML, but an YDI if we all heard the whole story.
If you're living with your parents and YOU have a toddler, than you are absolutely on the bottom of the list. Not because you have a child, but because you're imposing the rearing duties of that child on your parents, and I'd presume you're not paying rent, either. Also, when you have a toddler, the toddler's needs are on the top of the list regardless, which puts them at the top of the pecking order.
Did anyone think that maybe the parents invited her to live with them?
I completely disagree with expecting your parents to raise your children, but who says that's what this OP is doing? Or that she even has the choice to live elsewhere? It's quite possible to share a house, yet still raise your own child, even if you aren't paying rent. Sounds to me like the grandparents might be the ones imposing on her authority and responsibilities in this situation.
You're a single mom still living at home... I can guess who takes care of the baby most of the time and it isn't you. YDI for not growing up and learning to take responsibility for yourself.
I can see both sides. Of course, we don't know the full story. OP might be a teenage/young adult brat who is imposing on her parents and is going off and getting drunk or stoned while they watch the child she so foolishly had. OR, she might be a young woman who is struggling- perhaps she lost her SO, or she became severely ill for a long time, or the child has needs making it difficult to leave her under the care of anyone less trustworthy than family. We just don't know. I personally think it is more likely the former, because of the dad's words, but he just might be a jerk.
Im 2O and have been raising my son completly alone since he was born 18 months ago. Yes I've had financial help from child support but I dont live with my parents. I would really like to know OPs excuse for being put beneath her family's dog in their household lol
