Today, my dad found out I got a tattoo behind his back and is really really upset. When I got home from work my car wasn't in the driveway. When I asked my dad where it was, he replied "you'll get it back when your tattoo comes off." FML

When you willfully break the rules, don't come crying to FML when you see the consequences.

report the car as stolen. it's your body. unless it's not actually owned by you. then suck up & buy your own

If you're old enough to legally get a tattoo, you're old enough to move out of your parent's house. If not, YDI.

You got the tattoo "behind his back"? So it was on your Dad's stomach? I'd be upset too!

The phrasing of the post bugged me too.

yes I also noticed it, it became clear pretty soon ;) it would have been a nice one though, secretly tatooing your dad :P

It was immediately evident what she was TRYING to say. If it had happened the way that she wrote it, it would've been far more interesting.

If you're undeerage, YDI. If you're an adult and you paid for the car yourself, he is an asshole. It's your body, after all.

No... if the OP paid for the car, he's not an asshole, he's a car thief and some grand theft auto charges will probably get the car back in short order. it's not even about who paid for the car though, just who's name is on the registration.

If OP is over 18, and owns the car, then OP's dad can tow the car off his property and kick OP out. Just saying.

I hope you got a tribal design, chinese symbol or a tramp stamp. They're so unique and original

Or a fairy/tinkerbell, cherries, a star or something written in latin that no one can read.

I am Chinese and I have a chinese character problem?

220- No, it's only a problem when søme preppy person whø doesn't know the difference between the Asian countries gets a tattoo that they aren't sure they know the meaning of.

lol #20 i thought exactly the same thing! as everyone has said, if you're dad paid for the car, you damn well deserve it.

YDI: If you still are dependent on your parents, listen and follow their wishes. If you can live on your own, then you can do what you want. If the car is in your name, bought with your own money, and you're not your dad's dependant, you can report it to police as stolen.

...why were you at work without your car? And since you have a JOB and live with your parents, I'm assuming for no rent, buy yourself another one. No biggie. I bought my own car for my 16th birthday...

not really, if its in the ops name then the dad could always kick them out

I live a block away from my job. Should I drive to work every day?

don't fyl because you deserve it. i'm guessing it is a tramp stamp " because it's hidden"

Deeeeeserve it. If nothing else you should have hidden it better...who gets a tattoo where you know your dad could see it? I hope you didn't throw a tantrum...
