Today, my dad found out I got a tattoo behind his back and is really really upset. When I got home from work my car wasn't in the driveway. When I asked my dad where it was, he replied "you'll get it back when your tattoo comes off." FML

When you willfully break the rules, don't come crying to FML when you see the consequences.

report the car as stolen. it's your body. unless it's not actually owned by you. then suck up & buy your own

Awwww.... I feel so sorry for you that daddy took the car away that he paid for because you wanted to be a sneaky little ***** and get a tattoo behind his back. YDI

Ok how does getting a tattoo make you a sneaky *****?

If you're over 18 or whatever the legal age is where you live, FYL. If you're under it, YDI.

ok, OP. FYL if you paid for the car and it's in your name. YDI id it is your parent's car that they have for you to drive. If you live with your parents, you are obliged to follow their rules.... and the car is theirs to take away. =/

I'm lucky enough that my parents let me stay here rent free and they pay for food. For one reason, to save up money. And my parents bought my car, but I got the title when I turned 18. And they have no room to talk with tattoos. They have em. They only bitch because I'm going too fast with it. Other than that, its my body. They respect that.

I love how you are giving advice to have the cops called on someones parents. It's obvious you have no respect for your own parents.

you're ignorant. if its in his name, it doesn't matter what age you are, it's his car.

Your dad overreacted. I assume since you have a car, you're at least 16. It's your body, not his. Although YDI for not getting in a place that can be hidden. He wouldn't have known otherwise.

tramp stamp? ew. I'd be strict like that too. if not, ydi for getting a tattoo in the first place.

@barnes88 What part of "and you bought your car" did you not understand in Nemephosis's comment? If they bought the car then it would be in the OPs name not the fathers. If you read they comment again you will realize they said if these two things are true then this is what you should do. Who would pay for a car for themselves and then put it in their father's name? You should think things through before calling someone ignorant. If this is merely a case of the comment hopping from where it should be then disregard what I have said.
