Oof, just imagining that happening to me hurts, so I can't even imagine how you feel. That was really stupid on his part, and he better replace everything. This needs a major followup when everything was sorted out. Until then, good luck OP.
dont leave your window open!
Ah yes, blame the victim. It's all the victim's fault, not the dad or dumbass who committed the act. Please don't ever reproduce. The gene pool of the world is already far too tainted.
I'm pretty sure that carpet dries... But OMG that sucks
He better pay for the damage.
my dad did this once and my phone was ruined. He said "well, it's your fault for leaving your phone out where it can get wet" and grounded me.
He needs to replace your property now. Sue him if he doesn't. Sorry o.p :
Obviously your phone or laptop still works if you're posting on FML. Unless you have something alternative to use..
Even with replacements, if the water damage was bad enough it'll be a bitch replacing things like the files, photos, and contacts that were stored on his laptop and phone. Might not even be able to get some of those things back. FYL indeed, OP :(
Your dad is immature. Turn the hose on in his car. And see how he likes that!. Then you can both be immature together. Still, I hope you can salvage some of your things.
