Today, I found my concert tickets that I've been trying to find for the last 2 weeks in my mom's closet. When I asked why she had them, she said she felt the concert was inappropriate for me so she hid them. I'm 20. FML

Today, my boyfriend bought me Kings of Leon tickets for my birthday. Since he thought I was irresponsible, he gave the tickets to his mum so I wouldn't lose them. The show is today, and we can't find the tickets. FML

Today, my son surprised me on my birthday with tickets to a concert I really wanted to see. I was excited, especially since I planned to buy them but couldn't due to the fact it was too expensive. I was ecstatic, until I found out he'd stolen my credit card to buy them. FML

Today, I was telling my co-workers about how I'd gotten tickets to a concert in a few days. My boss overheard. Later, he told me I now have to work on the night of the concert. However, he was kind enough to offer to buy the tickets off me for half of what I'd paid for them. FML

umm...just a thought - maybe im making this too personal but...OP lives in the UK. The Download Festival is next week in London. As part of their "come-back/reunion/whatever" tour System of a Down is headlining. I dont know if that's OP's favorite band but its mine so yeah I would be pissed too. Yes, I agree that OP is not entitled to the tickets but this shows that her dad is a douche or ignorant. A douche because he wont let his daughter go see her favorite band. Ignorant because he doesnt know his daughter well enough to know thats her favorite band. Perhaps OP and her daddy should go together and bond? On the other hand, OP could be a whiney brat who doesnt deserve it. There could be more to the story like "OP is grounded" or she bitched about it and now there's no chance of her getting the tickets.

he doesnt get them for free cause his dad is SELLING THEM! anyway talk to your dad. maybe he forgot you liked the band or didn't realize you wanted to go. if that doesn't work either buy the tickets, ask if you can do something for them, and if all else fails...steal them :)
