I argee with 176. This is a good opportunity to teacher your daughter how to be responsible before something will happen. Teaching about condoms and safe sex isn't encouraging it, but it's encouraging responsibility. Yes, it may be frowned upon, but would you rather have her do it unprotected behind your back or do it safely as she will one day?

I just wanted to say to those people that think 22 is "a little old" that I am turning 23 in three weeks, and yes I'm a virgin. Proud of it, too. It's not too old. Everyone's different and everyone has different values in life and different experiences. I think that 13 is too young, but I also have had friends that were about the same age when they became sexually active. As long as she's being safe, there's not much else you can do about it. Preaching abstinence to someone that obviously wants to have sex is not going to stop her from doing it. Also, she may have just been talking big or has 'fooled around' and not really had sex. I think that you need to just have a good talk with her, just like #176 and #191 said.
