Today, my daughter proudly showed me her new tattoo sleeve, which is made up of an angry cupcake, hemp leaves, and a My Little Pony character. She's almost 30, still unemployed, and still lives in my home. I now have no hope of her ever becoming a productive member of society. FML

I would kick her out of she's spending her money on tattoos and not saving for a place of her own.

Sounds like ur more upset about the tattoo than anything else.

Seriously, just kick her out if she's acting like that. My 26 year-old brother lives at home and off my parents money but at least he is back in college and actively trying to get a job and a life after he screwed up most of it by drinking and doing drugs for a couple of years...and he is only being responsible now because my parents kicked him out after four years of it and only let him move back in provided he follow certain rules. So stop being a pushover, you are only straining your relationship anyway, because I seriously doubt she has any respect for you and you obviously are tired of her.

Oh shit, that was not meant to be typed! My app opened the window and I shuffled about and hit words by accident. Mortified!!!!

How'd she pay for the tat? Who lets her live in your house rent free? What do you do for a living? Let's talk about where the problem started...

Hey in this day and age, alot of company's will still hire you if you have tattoos. In fact, in Portland where I live your probably more likely to get the job if you have one!

Ok tattoos aren't the devil and the defining factor on if your child will succeed or not in life, the still living with her parents at 30 is. KICK HER ASS OUT!! She will have a really hard time finding a job with that full sleeve tho :(

I have 18 tats, 2 full sleeves. I'm still a productive member of society.

But you probably aren't 30 still living with mommy and daddy :) Reputable is the key word here...something tells me she isn't even attempting it.

There isn't anything wrong with tattoos, but OP's daughter got really stupid and meaningless ones

It must be all that faith you instilled in her. She didn't get to be like that during one trip to a tattoo parlor.

As a parent you look at this daughter and say where did I fail?
