Today, my dog had an upset stomach and diarrhea. To avoid a mess on the carpet, I confined her to a gated area in the kitchen with sheets over the floor, so any mess could be cleaned up easily. Instead of going on the sheets, she sprayed shit all up the walls. FML

At least the shit did not hot the fan? Now to something less lame, you did what you could, and to try and cover the walls too would not be on everyone's mind. you just had a stroke of bad luck, and hey. Cleaning up the walls are probably better than the carpets, and easier

Expect the unexpected my friend. Sorry for your walls lol

I've heard there's a great place to put pets sometimes... It's called outside in the ******* yard!!! If your dog sprayed your ducking walls, it's your own damn fault!

It was the kitchen walls, not the ducking walls. Quack you, autocorrect!

why confine your dog in the kitchen? why not outside or in a room NOT used for cooking your food.

The kitchen is probably the only uncarpeted room in the house.

oh man, that's ruff. I have dogs too, & one of them had explosives diarrhea when I first woke up in the morning right next to my feet.

Why not just take the poor dog outside !?

OP may live in an apartment. With diarrhea, you can't keep taking it in and out. If the dog was really old, too, it may not be good to leave it out in the cold.

It's like i always said. Any idiot can pee on the floor. But it takes a real genius to shit on the ceiling. Looks like the dog is well on the way to genius!

Fair warning, doggie diapers make a bigger mess. My old girl before she passed would get stomach bugs. It was too cold to let her hang outside like she preferred when it happened and her aim was off with the pee pads, so we tried diapers. It just acted as a wall for the shit to project off of from the hole. Fortunately, my floors are all hard, but it still sucked to clean.

Why wouldn't you just take the dog outside? It'd be a lot easier

If it's like Dief use to get, getting then outside is next to impossible. It always took a day or so for antibiotics to kick in, and depending on weather and housing, leaving a dog out until it gets better is not always an option. Sometimes you just have to come up with creative ways to deal when this happens. Pet ownership is one of the biggest reasons I went with hard floors. Not just for accidents, but muddy paws too. And it's why I invested in a shark steamer. Pets are like kids in that they always get sick at the worst times possible. But op should call the vet. There are meds and temp diet changes that can make this episode a lot shorter.

You got a smart one don't you?
