Personally i think the OP is a prick. Why even bother talking about some random girl who you have never met before and will likely never see again in your life? To all those who say " get off your high horses you talk behind peoples backs too" and shit.. i can honestly say that i dont really care about people who happen to be sitting next to me in a restaurant so i wouldnt really ever take the time to comment about them and i dont talk about my friends behind their backs either, if i have a feeling towards them ill just tell them, if they dont like it then they can just not hang out with me anymore And finally... to whoever it was that said Americans are the only assholes who wont learn other languages.. **** you. If I travel to France or Spain or wherever then ill learn their language however if im going to be in my own country of America then ill speak english and ill expect others to speak english which is our main language just as i would do if i was visiting their country. (On a side note America kicks ass anyways and we do whatever we want so we dont need to learn other languages hahaha just kidding.. a little..) I kinda feel like a dick for writing so much but oh well

There are so many people who DO do it that we have the word for it. If nobody did it, we wouldn't have the word. Imagine that. And you say you don't, but to be honest, I can't believe that you've never mentioned a quality of someone that you dislike to someone else. I really can't. And you're not exactly helping your point. I myself am American, and I hate that this is the image that we project to the world about ourselves. That's the snobbiest thing you could ever say, saying that others should learn our language and we shouldn't have to do shit. I'm so passionate about this, I don't even know what more I can say without causing a riot. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The US has no official language, and even if it did, people absolutely have the right to use other languages. That's like saying that you shouldn't play basketball if you're the presence of people who can't or that you shouldn't do calculus homework near people who don't understand. That's ridiculous. I concede that in most places it isn't considered polite to talk about people behind their backs, but then again, I still believe pretty firmly that just about everyone does that occasionally anyway. And her eavesdropping on them is being equally, if not more, rude as well.
