Today, my father sent me a letter in the mail. He spelled my first name wrong on the front of the envelope. I'm turning 28 years old and my own father doesn't know that my name has two "t"s in it. FML

not really an fml..i mean as parents get older they forget things... shoot my momma cant tell me (im a female) and my brother apart on the phone, and not only does she forget our birthdays, she forgets hers as well as we get older, small mistakes like that should not bother us like farreal

Dude, people make mistakes. I know people who have misspelled their own names, XD.

My cousins mom, the woman who gave birth to her, forgot how old she was on her birthday... you'd think expelling something from inside you would be hard to forget...

my parents makes mistakes like that kinda my mom always mixes up between me and my brother, calling me my brother's name and vice versa. Same for my dad every now and then Don't fell bad, Im pretty sure that your not the only one

Yeah, don't feel too bad. Like others have said - I get called my sister's name all the time. We're both S's so it's more like we have hyphenated names with the correction, lol. I'm hername-myname. LOL

PFFT. That's Nothing. My Dad wanted to call me Jennika Marie. Marie.. after his sister's name. He forgot how to spell her name. My middle name is now MAURIE. I have a man's middle name because my dad doesn't even know his own sister's name.

lol how dumb...what kind of name has two t's?

my name is garrett 1 out of every 20 people spell my name right

my name is brett too, no one ever gets it right. I've gotten brad, brent, and even bread, once at a restaurant i even noticed the girl but 'britt' on the list... however, my parents have always gotten it right, it might have been a mistake but i'll give you benefit of the doubt, FYL.

My father sometimes messes my name up when he's rushing something (he'll forget the "h" at the end of my name), but it doesn't mean he loves me less. Give your old man some slack.
