I doubt he was being an ass. Sometimes there is always something that someone wants to change about themselves. He probably generously offered just in case op didn't like something about him/herself.

I wouldn't be upset by it. Your dad didn't say that you needed it, but asked if you wanted it. I know very few people. Who are 100% happy with their face/body and wouldnt change a thing. If you are good with how you look, just tell him so.
