I think maybe the insult is not so much that you need plastic surgery, as much as the fact that your Dad is charging you at all...
12 I never understood how even close family members can charge each other for services of time and skill. I suppose plastic surgery does require materials, depending on what it is, but charging for something like a massage or counseling is not something you should be doing to a member of your family.
Perhaps OP's father does not own the plastic surgery practice he works for, or doesn't feel comfortable operating on family members himself. If either of those are true, the discount is still generous, since it would involve time and materials that belong to others outside the family.
Don't end up like Jocelyn Wildenstein now.
Giant boobs aren't always great.. There is such a thing as too big..
Act all " oh I wanna get a boob job dad!" and after all the hustle and bustle, suddenly say " dad I'm ashamed of you! Hinting at me with discounts for plastic surgery, if you can't accept me for my physical appearance then too bad!" and walk out of the operating table. Watch his mouth drop open and face turn red
Like a good neighbor state farm us there, with... HIGHER SELF ESTEEM!!
this state farm thing is gonna get old.
Old joke is getting old...
Yup this one was pushing it. I think this is the last one for awhile, unless it fits in really well with another FML.
I think you may be taking what he said too personally. He is offering you a chance at something that a lot of people would love to take advantage of. (After this baby is born, boob lift for me!) He's just trying to be generous with the perks! And hey, if you don't want it...
You should tell him that he should get one first..
He probably didn't mean to say you're ugly or something. He's a man, they always say things like that without it meaning anything. Women like you tend to assume the worst when there's really nothing wrong...
Why do I feel like the father was joking and the OP is making a mountain out of a molehill?

Tell him you need to make your face look as different from his as possible
Plastic surgery is a very expensive treatment, thats really nice of him to offer! You should be grateful.
