Today, my friend and I went to a really expensive restaurant. We got really bad service, so halfway through the meal we decided to dine-and-dash. Turns out I left my purse in the restaurant. With my I.D. and everything inside. FML

Today, I went to eat out. When I sat down, I realized I forgot my straw. I took my purse with me, not wanting it to get stolen. Someone stole my food instead. FML

Today, some friends and I went to IHOP. We joked about not having enough money, and as it turns out we were $5 short. We put down what we had and left. Upon getting to the car, I realized I'd forgotten my phone, and had to go back. I made eye contact with our waitress, our money in her hand. FML

Today, I went out with a friend to grab some food and we were served by this really cute and fun waiter. Stepping out of my comfort zone and deciding to do something crazy, I left my phone number on the bill. I got home only to realize that I forgot to pay the bill. FML

Today, after an amazing date with a girl I like at a restaurant, I realized I foolishly forgot my wallet. When I returned, I spotted my date at another table on a date with a different guy. I also wasn’t able to find my wallet. FML

good i am glad that you left your purse there. I am an waitress and incase you didn't know when you "dine and dash" the meal that you just basically stole the WAITRESS OR WAITOR personally has to pay for the ENTIRE meal out of their own money. the bill just doesn't go away it is PAID FOR BY THE PERSON WHO IS WORKING FOR YOU! people like you disgust me that you would even think to do that. I work so hard as a waiterss to earn money part time for college and people like you would mess that up for no reason because you are cheap and selfish

Hm. There are so many waitresses/waiters posting here. Makes me wonder if you are all really waitresses/waiters. Seriously, if you think your job sucks so bad (low pay and what not), why not find a new job? Working at the supermarket as a cashier at least guarantees your minimum wage, no? I worked as a cashier before and it wasn't so bad. It's only a little bit of cleaning job (floor and counter). Better than something like washing toilets at McD's. I now work in the university's library and I make $12/hr (restricted to 8 hours per week), and on top of that I make $8/hr as a telemarketer over the weekends. Is it that hard to look for a more stable paying job, or do you all have a different reason (other than earning money) for keeping your waiter/waitress job? As for the OP, YDI, of course. Never steal.

you do realize that if you go to an expensive restaurant, you could easily complain and the food will be complimentary if not, ur next visit or something lol. and if u do need to go back to get ur purse, just say you went out for a smoke(whether you do it or not) lol
