Today, my friend and I went to a really expensive restaurant. We got really bad service, so halfway through the meal we decided to dine-and-dash. Turns out I left my purse in the restaurant. With my I.D. and everything inside. FML

Today, I went to eat out. When I sat down, I realized I forgot my straw. I took my purse with me, not wanting it to get stolen. Someone stole my food instead. FML

Today, some friends and I went to IHOP. We joked about not having enough money, and as it turns out we were $5 short. We put down what we had and left. Upon getting to the car, I realized I'd forgotten my phone, and had to go back. I made eye contact with our waitress, our money in her hand. FML

Today, I went out with a friend to grab some food and we were served by this really cute and fun waiter. Stepping out of my comfort zone and deciding to do something crazy, I left my phone number on the bill. I got home only to realize that I forgot to pay the bill. FML

Today, after an amazing date with a girl I like at a restaurant, I realized I foolishly forgot my wallet. When I returned, I spotted my date at another table on a date with a different guy. I also wasn’t able to find my wallet. FML

people saying "dont leave a tip" or "talk to the manager": what if the manager doesn't give a damn and defends his waiters' crappy service? they tried that on me once. i walked out after taking one bite out of each part of the meal.

If you get bad service, then you give either A) no tip, or B) a penny tip, if you really want them to know. Bad service isn't illegal. Dining and ditching IS. you NEVER dine and ditch! sooo you deserved it. and it just goes to show the intellectual capacity of most criminals, when you left your wallet/purse. HAHAHA

#123 if thats the case, then you pay for the meal. You really can't do anything about it. And your situation is a bit different from the OPs. You only tasted the food...they ate the entire meal before deciding to skip out on the bill.
