what the **** is wrong with both of you??
Why would you joke about being chased by the police to your friend so you couldn't get caught. Sorry OP, tell the police what you thought.
"Dude I need a place to crash, I robbed a bank" OP " sure you did *chuckles* we can hangout here for a while" seems like a normal response since who robes banks anymore? Security footage will prove he wasn't at the scene, but he did hide the fugitive... I don't know what they'll believe.
And you thought that his bag of cash was only full of Monopoly money?
And in 15 minutes he seemed normal and wasn't able to convince you of the truth ?? Either way good luck with the cops OP!!
Just have to get a lawyer and explain you naturally thought your friend was just messing around and didn't actually believe it to be more than a joke. I'm sure the charges will be dropped If they are reasonable.
I guess there is a lot for you to learn about your "friend" if he was someone that appeared to not rob a bank. What a crappy surprise that must have been. Hopefully you have a good lawyer OP.
How did you not see his money? If he did stash it somewhere else how did you not notice the pained and panicked look on his face the whole time?? was he calmly laughing and reclining on your couch? I don't get it. My mind is full of fuckkkk.
if he's like most robbers, he would've been quite dumb and not had a plan as to where he would hide and where he would stash the money. I read an article and it said 86% of robbers hadn't even thought through the robbery to the point of escaping. unless OP's friend was really smart or a good actor, he'd most likely appear panicked.

You are not an accomplice, and the police will surely figure that out. What you most definitely are, however, is a bad judge of character!
The jig is up. The news is out. They finally found you.
