Today, my future mother-in-law gave me advice on life. One piece of advice was that I should leave her son. FML

You know what they say; God couldn't be everywhere, so he created mothers. Then, devil thought that he couldn't be everywhere so, he created mother-in-laws. Tell her that you know it's not her talking, but her demons. Then start yelling,"**** you, demons! I hope you choke on a dick and die." Or you could just confront her about her bitchy attitude.

Talk to the parents and your fiancé. Then, if they still don't like you too bad for them. Marry him if ya love him!

Maybe she's warning you that he's a bad husband behind your back?

Sounds like my mother in law! My husband doesn't speak to her anymore..

The way I read it is that she's trying to protect you and she's warning you about him. Maybe he's cheated or still is? I had a best friend of mine that this happened to as well. The mother loved the girlfriend and warned her numerously. She thought she was too good for him. Turned out he was cheating on her left right and centre... Needless to say she left him and still has the mother as a good friend...

My grandmother gave the same advice to my Mom and, quite honestly, my grandmother thought she was issuing a legit warning since my father had already been divorced. Almost 30 years later and it's obvious that was the wrong advice. Ignore her :)

And then you told her to shove her advice where the sun don't shine. Well I'm hoping you did

You might need to listen to her especially if the other advice she gave you made sense. She may be looking out for you and know that you're too good for her son.
