I dont mind spend money on brand name stuff but i would NEVER pay 300 for a jean. that's not so smart shopping i would say. and well, why cant she jsut like. un patch it.
#152: See, that's what I meant. As if painting your car is an, objectively seen, "better" way to spend your money than buying designer jeans. I mean, I don't give a **** about cars, much less painting one. I would never spend $300 on painting a car. Not my intention to single you out or anything... but it just goes to show that different people just spend their money on different things, and it's really not anyone else's business. As for who the **** spends $300 on jeans... well, this person, obviously, and a lot of other people too. There wouldn't be any designer clothing if no one ever bought it. And honestly I really don't think $300 on jeans is that extravagant, I've seen people spend $100 on a hair band, $300 on sunglasses, $500 on a bag... now THAT is a lot of money to spend on some clothing. Don't even get me started on how much money people can spend on dresses or shoes. But hey, if they wanna do it... they earned their money, so I don't care what they spend it on, they're not hurting anyone!
I accidentally clicked "I agree". I wish I could retract it. Pre-ripped = ******* FAIL.
considering how many posts there are on this site about people getting called fat and ugly by family members and strangers, about not having friends or not being able to get a girlfriend or boyfriend, about getting mistaken for the opposite sex etc etc... i am really not surprised that most of these comments suggest wal mart jeans and are shocked at the idea of actually buying jeans that look good. and its really hypocritical that the comments are always completely sympathetic with posts about $1000 laptops, $400 iphones, diamond rings, etc, that accidentally get broken or lost. And to the guy who said.. "Damn... with $300 I can make the payment on my car and fill 'er up with gas too!" thats insane, what a waste of money when you can walk or take public transportation! It can go both ways.
''Today, my father got my 4 900$ trendy vintage-laptop-screen-with-dead-pixels-and-scratches ''fixed''. FML.'' Now that's a more acurate way to compare. OP is a douchebag, and so are you #157.
actually, djosef, it isn't. Those trendy jeans cost about $5-$10 (let's go with $10 just for the hell of it) to make and ship, so you pay 3000% it's production price. A normal, decent laptop costs probably $1000 to make (if anyone has exact values, feel free to correct me), so your damaged "vintage" laptop would cost 3000% of $1000, or in other words, $30000. Because "vintage" means made to look old, it would probably also have a device in it that reduces its power to that of a Pentium P5 (for people not familiar with it, that's a whopping 300 Mhz) Now THAT is putting it in perspective, isn't it?
#106 I agree it's good to have a nice pair of jeans to wear sometimes, you do look better, but I don't think holey ripped up jeans constitute as a "nice pair". Sometimes I feel like designers have such a good name that they've realized they can turn out complete utter shit and people will still buy it.
Who the hell spends that much money on jeans?! @#159, the most I've spent is $30 :þ
I pay for expensive jeans sometimes. (Not $300, because I don't have that much), but I can understand paying for a really great pair of jeans.

well thats what you get for buying $300 jeans.
Maybe now you can reflect on how absurd it is to spend $300 on Jeans that are ripped, simply because they are "trendy"...
