Today, my grandmother patched up my $300, vintage, limited edition, designer jeans because she thought I'd accidentally ripped them. FML

well thats what you get for buying $300 jeans.

Maybe now you can reflect on how absurd it is to spend $300 on Jeans that are ripped, simply because they are "trendy"...

300$ on jeans + you = epic fail they are just jeans 30$ new and you can make your own damn holes

HAH! #12 couldn't have put it any better. Your FML should've been "I thought spending $300 on jeans was a good investment."

i just bought a pair of ripped jeans myself and so i understand how sucky this must be for you!

I just payed $300 for jeans that were already ripped. FML

I have a closet full of vintage ripped jeans and I'll sell you then for $200/pair.

Even your grandma knows that those jeans suck

i just read all 193 comments on this post because i can't fall asleep. fml =(

You commenters are so stupid. Just because your small minds can't tell the difference between designer jeans and jeans from Walmart doesn't mean that there is none...it just means that you have a nonfunctional eye for detail. Anyway, it's very likely that the OP is not filthy rich...otherwise s/he'd just run out and buy another $300 pair instead of agonizing about it over the internet.

Hi there, long time reader first time poster ... I actually just signed up for this website for the sole purpose of letting you know that you have just failed miserably at life. I hope you are proud of yourself. You paid $300 for vintage(old) designer(overpriced) ripped(destroyed) jeans. And the reason they are limited edition is because you will pay so much for them they only have to make 200 pairs to pay their rent for the year. Go trip and fall on some razor blades. kthxbye

This isn't an FML; this is just a misunderstanding with no real lasting consequence. Why does it matter if the jeans were patched up or not unless you were going to sell them to someone else who might (for whatever reason) be willing to pay more than $300 for them?
