Today, my grandmother patched up my $300, vintage, limited edition, designer jeans because she thought I'd accidentally ripped them. FML

well thats what you get for buying $300 jeans.

Maybe now you can reflect on how absurd it is to spend $300 on Jeans that are ripped, simply because they are "trendy"...

Damn .. LOL. $300 out the window. W/e, you can get good quality + nice looking jeans somewhere else for MUCH cheaper; Cheap Monday, Obey, WeSC, Know1edge, etc.. All that True Religion, A&F shit is a waste of money. They don't even look that great. P.S. Your grandmother is cute.

Dude. Don't tell OP to shop at WalMart. That's like telling her to wear crocs.

in your grandmother's day, ripped jeans need fixing. In my mind, you don't buy pre ruined shit. Also, 36- google Real Big Fish, or Big D and the Kid's Table. That's an example of ska. Although I can't see any reference to Ska in 25's post...

why would you pay 300 dollars for pants that have holes in them

#173 is totally right, couldn't have said it better myself.

Your life is F'd - not because your grandma patched your jeans, but because you were foolish enough to even consider spending $300 on something you could have made yourself for $5. A homeless man with rotting stench would need no persuasion to sell you a 3 million dollar beach house in the middle of the Sahara if you really ever made this clothing decision. For your sake I hope you are grossly exaggerating the cost of these jeans

If she wants to spend 300 bucks on jeans, that's her business. I think its an insane amount for "vintage" hole-y jeans though...I have to agree with that.

If they want to spend $300 on jeans let em. Don't rag on them for it. Instead think of it this way, they just lost $300 because of a misunderstanding, a caring well inteded one albeit, but still. Think of it another way, like this person meant to give money to a homeless person but dropped $300 from their wallet. You COULD take that money back, but you would feel awful, like how this person could ask their grandmother to remove the attempted reparations.
