Today, my grandmother tried to upstage me at my wedding by wearing an actual wedding dress because she "never had a real wedding". FML

Would you want your grandma to do this at yours?

Grandma just wants to feel young again!

The groom isn't the one who should be angry about this... unless of course you were also wearing a wedding dress.

I understand your joke (: but have to ask-- Why not? I know plenty of guys that would be upset if something were to upset their wives/girlfriends. Protective of his bride's feelings is a good quality in a husband. (:

Exactly, why shouldn't he be upset? It must have upset his bride a lot so he was probably upset by that in the process. That's a good quality for him to have

never understand why people spend so much time, effort, and money into a wedding and don't bother to hire bouncers, or just use their biggest friends. I would have had her escorted from the facility far before my wedding and would have authorized them to tackle her ass if she tried to get inside dressed like that. its your day don't let anyone upstage the couple How the hell did the Bride react?

I would kick her out. I don't care if thats your grandma she is disrespecting you and trying to steal your day.. That's ****** up. You don't do that to anyone especially not your grand daughter she should be happy for you not focused on herself

You should've just let her and been like "yep. That's my crazy old granny..."

Granny- thought it was a nice day for a "White Wedding" (for herself)? Should have quickly thrown some red wine on it before your bride walked down the aisle.

Fyl...That sucks! I know how you feel only it wasn't my grandma, my parents tried to re-new their vows on my day in the same church because they wanted all the family to see. Long story short it paid off being a bridezilla :)

Call me crazy but I think that would actually be kinda cute, like a passing of the torch. They do a quick renewing then the actual wedding. But I've never been crazy about all the hoopla that goes into a wedding. I'd rather do a small ceremony and save the big money for a kick ass vacation without the wedding debt.

Why did your grandmother wait until now? What was wrong with your parents' marriage?
