Today, my grown up, unemployed boyfriend stole 70 dollars from my wallet and tried to hide it in two different places in case he needed to ditch me and go out by himself. He got angry when I confronted him and stormed out. He feels perfectly entitled. I work, pay rent and buy food. FML

Today, my boyfriend asked me to pick up a few things from the store for him while he was at work. After picking up everything he asked for, I wasn't left with much money so I used $50 from my account. When he got home he then grumbled about me spending all of "his" money. FML

Today, I caught my boyfriend stealing money from my purse. He tried to turn it on me by claiming I'll owe him for the flowers he'll get me on Valentine's Day, then tried to make me feel guilty by saying the whole thing is for "selfish bitches anyway". FML

Today, I found out my boyfriend is cheating on me. His excuse was that I never had time for his needs anymore. He’s unemployed but I guess me working and studying to get my degree so we could move out of his parents’ house was too much. Now I have no place to go. FML

Today, my boyfriend keeps mentioning how well his new job pays, while I don’t have any income. He then got upset when I expected him to pay for the groceries I got on my way to his new place. What I bought was stuff I needed so I could cook for him, and for me to eat while I’m there, cleaning and fixing stuff for him. FML

If this is the behavior when he is the boyfriend, it will get worse if he becomes the husband. He should feel ashamed of himself stealing from you, but instead tries to throw blame and guilt on you. This type of person will milk you for all you've got and when you have nothing left, leave you and blame the end of the relationship on you. I married one like this when I was young and dumb. He even stole money from me after we split when he had come to see our son, I guess it serves me right to go to the bathroom while he was there.

While I agree the boyfriend is a thief, and a bum and she should throw his ass out. I gave this a YDI for the following reasons. Girlfriend agreed to be in a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship with him. Also sounds like she has allowed this to go in the past, except the stealing. Why do people enter into relationships with people like this?

Sometimes it takes a while for people to show their true colours. OP doesn't deserve to be treated that way just because s/he mistakenly thought their boyfriend was a decent guy.
