Today, my husband felt dishonoured: his darling little girl, the love of his life, whom he's always considered pure, turns out to be pregnant. He's now warned her: she's grounded and that whoever did this to her had better not come hanging round the house. Pussy, two years old, is now housebound until her kittens are born. FML

Omg this is so funny I didn't expect that lol

One of the first things you should have done before letting your cat outside is getting her desexed. It doesn't matter whether you can care for the kittens and find them all homes. You're just adding to the problem of overpopulation. And as her owners, you only have yourselves to blame. There are way more than enough animals in the shelters, getting killed simply because they don't have a home. There are way more than enough strays wandering the streets, being hunted/killed and producing their own litters (many who wouldn't stand a chance on the street themselves). Honestly, if you cannot pay for your cat to get desexed, if you think a female cat should have one litter first, if you think your own personal preference over desexeing should decide where your cat gets desexed or not, or if you think only one gender should get desexed (for example, female cats only) then you really shouldn't be getting cats. Unless you are a certified breeder, you get your cats desexed, it's that simple.

My sisters cat wasn't desexed and she had a few litters over a fair amount if time but we just gave away all of the kittens to people that we knew and that we thought would take care of them.

That was a wild ride from start to finish.

If he didn't want that to happen, he should have had her spayed! I have no patience for such irresponsible people, and before someone says, "What if they couldn't afford to spay her??": don't get a pet if you can't be a responsible owner and spay/neuter it! It's that simple.
