Today, my maths teacher was giving my whole class a lecture on 'if you don't pay attention at school, you will fail.' She then pointed out out a man working on the roof and said: 'if you don't listen, you will end up like that guy.' That was my dad. FML

Today, I was lecturing my high school students on the importance of a good education. I pointed out the janitor in the hall and told them if they didn't stay in school, they'd end up like him. Then one of my students raised her hand and reminded me that the janitor I pointed to was her dad. FML

Today, my maths teacher, who hates me ever since I pointed out a mistake he made a few months ago, rang my dad and blatantly lied to him about me swearing at him in class. It was a complete load of bollocks, but my dad believed him and took away my PlayStation until after Christmas. FML

If you don't pay attention in school, you will fail... school. It doesn't have that much bearing on the rest of your life. I would definitely suggest paying attention if you go to college though.

roofing is a very underrated job. people who work with their hands aren't necessarily dumb, they just shine in different ways. I'd like to see her say that the next time her roof gets a leak and no one decides to come and fix it.
