Today, my mom got drunk and told me to leave the house because "I've been mooching off her for too long". I'm 14 and now am sleeping at my friends house. FML

Wow, some parents never cease to amaze me! Drunk or not she has no right saying that to you. You are her responsibility. If she doesn't want that responsibility, maybe she should learn to keep her legs closed!

I agree with you 100% some parents just do the most screwed up things to their kids. I feel sorry for op, his mom needs some parenting classes. Op stay with your friend for a few days and let your mom sober up. If she does it again you should call your dad or another family member to see if they will let you live with them. And I'm not sure of Canadian law but in the USA you can go to court and have them get guardianship of you till your 18 and make your mom pay them child support for keeping you. your mom is wrong drunk or not she choose to have a child and oboe she made that choice she should have realized that entails taking financial responsibility till you are 18. Hope things get better for you op.

once your mom is not drunk anymore, go back home and pack all your stuff. when your mom asks you what you're doing tell her about what she told you and that from now on you will live at your friends house. win win(:

So what! I was kicked out at 2-years-old! By the time I was 3 I already had a successful pimping business going. Trust me you'll be glad that you got kicked out, it'll make you be more independent in the long run. But to be serious FYL. And to the people who say his mom didn't mean it....... drunken talk= sober thoughts

yeah they say alcohol brings out the truth in people

3-So when you really do get kicked out and you write an FML about it we won't hesitate to laugh uncontrollably. Oh and point too.

lmaoooooooo tooo funnny :p but yeah that sucks for u haha

how is that an FYL? i would LOVE to live at my friends house! i wish i would get kicked out!

I guess you could meet her half way while shes drunk by promising to get a job

he's 14 dipshit! it's not legal to get a job at age 14.

I believe in some states, you can get a working permit at 14. Also, other countries certainly allow you to work at 14... don't jump to conclusions.

They can be hired for some jobs, but they'll be making student minimum wage. Pittance.

88 in san francisco i can get a job at 14 earning minimum( sp check) wage same asmy fdad earns
