Today, unlike what you may have joked about with your friends, I actually did meet people who told me to "take a hit or we'll beat the shit out of you." I got picked up by my mom 20 minutes later like planned. When my mom noticed I was high, she grounded me for the "rest of high school." FML

I lived with my parents right up until I was 18, when I went off to University. While I lived there I was under my parents rule, and it was possible to get grounded. Heck even now I come and live at home over the summer and other breaks, and I'm almost 20 now. Just because someone mentions their mother or father doesn't mean they MUST be a child. I think in reality you just wanted to feel better than someone else.
