Oh_So_Klassical tells us more.
OP Here, and I spend up to 3 hours a day on the computer because I take a computer class and all the homework is online and that's why she turned it off. She called our provider and told them to turn it off, since she didn't know how. I didn't find out until I came home and attempted to do my homework, and by that point, my mom was in a fuss about not being able to get on Facebook. And since I'm her daughter, and clearly know nothing, she refused to believe me. My neighbor is the one who finally convinced her the internet was needed for Facebook.

She's not a very bright one.. Luckily you've got your smarts not from her.. Just state the obvious resin and maybe you'll get lucky and she'll turn it back on...Facebook can be pretty addicting..she might be one if the victims of that addiction.
Your mom is an ass
I don't have Internet at home... I feel your frustration. My ma is the same type of person. Except we can't afford it. But she asks me phone questions all the time x.x

Thank god intelligence isn't hereditary
It is
#61, Thanks for your comments, OP. Family background and eduction adds a whole other dimension. Maybe Mom is ambivalent about your education and how different from your family it might make you (happens more than you might think). Best of luck!
*and education (blush!)
Well, I hope the loss of Facebook got your internet back. Hopefully you'll graduate soon and get your own internet with your awesome degree-level job. Don't let the stupid people get you down.
That's a bit mean #75, she is still her mother.
If it is then it works in funky ways. I have met people with very intelligent parents that are dumb as bricks and people with dumb as bricks parents with very intelligent kids. I know it's supposed to be hereditary but something is happening where these families are concerned.
Silly mom is silly.
