A toaster is a fine wedding gift. How selfish of you to be so ungrateful! I got a toaster for a wedding gift and use it almost daily

No, you're missing the point. A toaster and one fork; the woman is telling her to electrocute herself. Yes, a toaster would be lovely, but paired with one fork? Obviously telling her she doesn't like her.
