I think it's SICK how some people on this site are so willing to condemn women. I wouldn't be surprised if someone wrote, "Today I was at a bar and a guy slipped GHB in my drink and raped me. FML." and a bunch of people responded with stuff like, "thats why you don't go to bars YDI" or "you shouldn't have been talking to a stranger, YDI" or "only ***** go to bars. YDI." There is a depraved culture all around the world (including developed countries) of acting like the people who get raped deserve it, and of completely dismissing the ways in which women are sometimes treated like second class citizens. If this FML was about a white kid hanging out with black friends and the mom accusing the black kids of being gang members, not only would more people see what's wrong with that, but all those replies agreeing with the mom would be voted down completely. But because it's a post about a woman and her sexuality, as opposed to someone and his/her race, a good number of people assume that the mother's point must be valid. With the only evidence being that she kissed someone she was in a relationship with. Poster, I'm sorry your mother was being so unreasonable.

I don't know why people think this is funny. This is almost exactly like something my mom would say. It's ******* terrible, and the first "witty" line is not silly or funny, it's their way of angrily picking words that will bite you the hardest and fastest, and best describe their corrupt way of thinking of things. I don't know why any of you are taking the mom's side. When my mom says things like this, it's disturbing and completely not based on reality. Like freaking out and telling me that I will get involved in an orgy when I wanted to spend the night with my two gay male friends, their friends (never found out the genders) and my boyfriend. Or that strangers on the street will think I'm literally a prostitute if they see me hanging out with a group of friends consisting on all guys.

I understand where your mother is coming from though. Plus how smart is it to make out even in the same building as your mother? All kids know parents have eyes everywhere.
