Today, my mum got an electric car. It's so quiet that we could hear the bones of my cat break as we reversed over it on the driveway. FML

Right, because cats don't cry out when their tails get stepped on; no, they just sit there and give you dirty looks while they mentally cuss you out. Seriously? Did you not make it through the second grade? Cats have vocal chords, just like dogs. They scream when they're hurt. OP's cat probably screamed right before it died. is your cat still very young? usually, very young kittens are more likely to be involved in accidents like this :( there was a time when a very young kitten slept in my dad's car machine. when the engine turned on...you know what happens. if your cat was an adult, he's very unlucky for being in such bad timing at the wrong place. sorry for your loss OP
