First of, I absolutely adore all the "Uncle Rico" guys out there (Napoleon Dynamite- "back in my day I could throw a football over the mountains") I can see why y'all are upset, its a gentler, kindler Army, but it doesn't necessarily equate to not getting properly punished. Getting smoked sucks, but it's making you stronger. Writing an essay on the other hand, just annoys the **** out of you. Now, on a side note to that. Get a sham shaver, keep it in your lower cargo pocket. you never know when you'll need it. Now all the people saying that you can't get a proper seal on your mask if you're unshaved, you've been proven wrong by a chaplain. He got a proper seal with a bushy ass beard, so that being said, the only importance is staying within regulation. In reality OP I'd only feel bad for you if this happened in korea, where you have to shave every day. regardless of whether you're on leave, pass, weekend... Then to the civies discussing war and how pointless it is, let's just say that outside of ending slavery, holocaust, Nazism, Fascism, and dictatorships, war has never solved anything >.<

if you where my joe you wouldnt have to do that but.... i carry an old bic just for that situation see i like to make sure to square away my joes. btw i may of used on a few things i shouldnt of so its not quite sharp anymore.
