To people saying OP deserved it we don't really know enough in my opinion. Maybe he didn't know they smoked, maybe they promised not to smoke inside. Maybe he didn't even know them before moving in, here when you get student apartments a lot of the time you don't choose your roommates. As long as OP didn't move in knowing they would smoke inside and asked them not to they're the dumbasses and OP should keep reporting them until they get evicted, maybe he can get some better roommates.

If you spoke to them first and they chose to ignore you and carried on disrespecting the rules and you then seriously FYL for what they did. If you didn't speak to them first that was a bit of a shitty move however they're still assholes for what they did as that's disgusting

Did you talk to them about the pot smoking first? Though I personally am not opposed to marijuana usage, I understand completely not wanting it in your living space. And I think you had a right to put your foot down. But if you just tattled to God knows who (hopefully not authorities right away) BEFORE talking to your roommates, I do not approve of that at all. I'm not saying you deserved having all your drinks contaminate, that is nasty and immature, but they did potentially have a right to be upset at you. On the other hand, if they kept smoking despite you requesting to them that they don't, **** 'em and leave or keeping reporting their pot smoking asses whenever they light up until they get evicted because you shouldn't have to tolerate illegal activities in your living space. especially depending on what career you have or want to have.... you shouldn't have to risk your future based on others choices (just saying cause there is always the slight chance that shit could go down and OP could have been dragged into it if OP 100% ignored the situation. I mean, I feel authorities might be skeptical if everyone was smoking pot except one (claimed they) didn't.
