Today, my young son and I were in line at Subway. I guess he got bored and started to insult the teenage girl behind us. I tried to get him to stop, but he wouldn't listen. Eventually the girl punched him in the face and left. As my son cried uncontrollably, everyone else there clapped. FML

I can't believe you let her hit your son

I wouldn't but then again i would have slapped him longe before he deserved a punch. He has no right to insult.

You guess he got bored??? You screwed up as a parent if your son does that because he is bored. Shame on you both. Yay to the girl who taught your son the lesson you should've.

I would whoop my kids ass for insulting someone, ESPECIALLY after having already 'trying to stop them'.

Whether mentally handicapped, or some other illness or perfectly healthy, ANY kid who is insulting someone and not obeying their parent needs to be removed. Maybe a smack will help and so long as it's not brutal do it. Yes, I have dealt with children. I have two little nieces I take everywhere and I have helped take care of 6 little cousins while growing up. They never would have done that because they know their aunt loves them but will not tolerate such behavior. Forget her place in line, that mother should have, at the least, taken the kid out of the store and apologized to the person her son was insulting. Punching him was overkill on her part but I don't blame her.

So is the "you deserved it" meant for the son? If it's not, I don't think the parent deserves this.

#263 You're right. It's not her fault she doesn't know how to control her son. I mean, heaven forbid she tell him to shut up or assert her authority as the parent! That would just be insane!

I would've pissed myself laughing

I see no problem here. He got what was coming, and that's not your problem. Ask him if he learned his lesson.

your son got what he deserved. Maybe now he'll think twice before harassing someone again.

He had if coming but to punch the kid!? How old is he? I mean, if to you young is like 13, I guess that's okay but if he's like 8 then the girl is messed up for punching a child in the face.
