Well there's something you can rub in her face when she's old enough.
That really sucks. But look at it this way- at least you have some time to work on that new novel you've been writing..
Nice reference.
im the person who posted. the breaks bad enough to cancel the scholarship
You're probably not the OP, but I'll post this here, anyway, since it'd be stupid of you to lie about something like this. Go to a junior college with a 2+2 transfer plan to go to the college you were offered a scholarship in. Your Pell Grant and Subsidized loans should pay for books/tuition even if you're out of state. Get a job to pay for an apartment and such. After 2-3 years of recovery/PT time, try out for the team again.
Luckily this clear little thing called STUDENT LOANS came out only yesterday. Ydi for relying on going to college entirely on a scholarship.
we're in a bad economy, maybe something happened to her college fund, maybe her parents didnt save enough money, dont spead out random ydi's just because you dont know their financial situation and that scholarship was the only way for the op to get to college. plus you have to pay for student loans later, and from other people experiences, they can be a real bitch.
What?!?! She deserves it for going on a scholarship?! So if she had a choice between a college that she could only afford with her scholarship and a different college she could only afford with student loans, she should have picked the school that she can only go to with the help of student loans? Please tell me YOU'RE not in college...
WHAT?! You mean if she had the choice between a college she could only afford with a scholarship and a college she could only afford with student loans, you think she should pick the school she can only afford with student loans?! God, please tell me you're not in college...
WHAT?! So if she had the choice between a college that required student loans to attend and a college that she received a scholarship to for the purpose of offsetting cost, you think she should have taken out student loans? Please tell me you aren't in college.
Luckily a shit ton of young people rack up tens of thousands of debt for student loans that have outrageous interest tacked on and end up owing $800 - 1000 per MONTH after graduation... Student loans aren't the answer.

That really sucks! What about academic scholarships?
