Today, not long after having had my college volleyball scholarship confirmed, I broke my ankle after stepping on and tripping over a toy my baby sister had left out. No scholarship and no college whatsoever now. FML

im OP.and the break was bad enough that the scholarship was revoked. im not gonna be able to play volleyball for a few years due to ligament damage. im an outside hitter and i wont be able to jump. i could switch to libero but i wouldnt even manage to red shirt. my grades are not high enough for academic entrance

Eye for an eye. Tooth for a tooth. BROKEN ANKLE FOR A BROKEN ANKLE. Siblings. *sigh*

That really sucks! What about academic scholarships?

Can't you suspend your scholarship for a year and just wait till it heals

I'm op. I wouldve been red shirted if I could recover within a certain amount of time. But I can't thus the scholarship was revoked

This once again proves my point that little sisters are evil. Whether they know it or not. Even accidentally. They are just born with an inevitable trail of destruction in their older sibling's life.

I know this is a crappy option compared to what you were going to get but community colleges offer financial aid and fee waivers. You can prolly earn your way back to a better school and it may take longer but it's better than nothing.

i would make that baby feel so guilty wen its older

If you can't get into any college based on academic merit alone, you don't deserve anything other than community college.
