Today, on my first day of being a trainee teacher in a classroom, I told a boy to stop using that stupid accent or else I'll give him a detention. Turns out he just moved here from Romania. FML

Someone is not getting that job.

That poor kid, he would've been so embarrassed. I hope you apologized.

And plus aren't you supposed to be informed when there is new students or something?

Ah... SHE was the new "trainee" TEACHER...

Ever heard that saying about assuming? If you assume, it makes an ass(out of)u(and)me. Do try and be more accepting if you still plan on being a teacher.

I once had a trainee teacher tell me I was pronouncing my own name wrong o_O (I wasn't she was just an idiot) the whole class including my teacher told her she was incorrect.

Oh my word, something similar happened to me in my 9th grade drama class. We had a substitute who pronounced my name wrong, and when I politely corrected her, she said, "Oh...well, the way I said it sounds prettier." She said this out loud, in front of my entire class, rather loudly. I swear half my classmates' jaws hit the floor, along with my own. Hated her ever since.

Hard to say on this one, I remember in school one kid saying he needed to wear sunglasses because he was albino. Another one also did a fake accent, funny as hell. Poor SUB. On the other hand not a good enough reason to blow up on someone. Should have laughed it off and remembered when you were young and rebellious. Also you could have asked another teacher if the kid had an accent.

Hmm seems like they let just about anyone become a teacher today...
