Today, one of my three-year-old twin daughters asked, "Dad, can we get a cat?" I replied in a gentle dad voice, "No, honey, dad is allergic to cats. That means they make him sneeze and sniffle. So we can't get a cat. Sorry." After a slight pause, the other asked, "When you die can we get a cat?" FML

Hehe, cute! She's only three, so I wouldn't take her too seriously :3

There's medication for that now, so that's just an excuse because you don't want a cat. And I agree with some of the others, it's not that big a deal. My mom would probably have laughed if I had said something like that when I was 3.

I said that to my dad too when I was younger. :3

I'd watch my back. Next thing you know you'll be turning down the hall and they'll be standing side by side remarking, "Hello, Daddy. Come play with us."

#25 "Forever and ever and ever" But still, for your own kid to say that to you, you're going to need some good old discipline to dish out. May I recommend Maddox's methods from The Best Page In The Universe? XD

ow kids....they say the darndest things

three isn't really old enough to realize what death means. get a rabbit instead, they're cute, cuddly, playful and don't have those pesky allergy problems. just be aware though they'll chew wires like crazy.
