Today, Target asked me if I would do the closing announcement. I've only been working there a little while, so excited I agreed. I told people, "The store is now closing, thank you for shopping at Walmart." FML

Today, I found out that the pharmacy I've been getting my prescriptions from for over two decades is closing down. Just the one store. In less than a week. The signs proudly proclaim "Store Closing! This Store Only!" FML

Today, I heard back from my store management interview at Target. I was offered an overnight stock clerk position. When I called HR to find out if my application was in the wrong file I was told I lack the leadership qualities necessary for Target. I graduated with honors from a military school. FML

Today, a shopper approached me at Target and said, "So are you just gonna stand there to look pretty and do nothing around here?" I ignored his comment, until he got so upset that he wanted to speak to my manager. It would have been understandable if I actually worked there. FML

that's terrible. they're supposed to have a paper with the announcement on it. I used to make the announcement at my store :)

Im sure since it was time for store closing there wasn't many shoppers in the store. If not, its ok OP, all of us humans make mistakes. :-)

I often choose to answer the internal phone line "Thank you for calling K-Mart, how may I be of assistance?"........I work nightshift in a hospital. I've had 3 people apologize profusely and hang up. Mind you, I said the "internal" phone line. Gotta have SOME fun with the easily misguided!
