Today, the phone rang so I went to answer it. No one was there. A minute later the phone rang again and no one answered so I assumed it was a telemarketer or a prank so I started swearing uncontrollably in rage. Turns out it was my crush calling to ask me out, but she was too nervous to ask. FML

Today, I fucked up when I answered a phone call. I wasn't sure who the number was at first, and it turned out to be my ex girlfriend who had apparently been stalking me. She asked me how my new girlfriend was, and as I answered it in front of my girlfriend, she's now depressed. FML

Today, I had a phone call from a company I was applying to. It was going really well, until the call ended. Now since I'm so used to calling my girlfriend, I ended the call with, "Love you, bye." And if things couldn't get any worse, I started swearing to myself. The recruitment officer heard me. I forgot to hang up. FML

what's wrong with the girl calling the guy? some people seem to be stuck in the 50's. I guess the yelling didn't make her less nervous ahah. but since he knows that she was going to ask him out, hopefully that means things are all good :)

Ok, for one, i think the "swearing uncontrollably with rage" is probably an exaggeration, so I doubt he has anger management issues. And two, Its very annoying to get up from video games/tv/resting/etc., especially if you are across the house, to answer the phone and have no one respond. My instinct would say its a prank caller too, and in all likelihood, they would continue to call, so I would yell at them too. FYL And #33, Who's to say that this doesn't happen more often, just because its been posted before or it happened in a movie or tv show doesn't mean it can't happen again.

that's awkward but pretty easy to explain. i mean, it doesn't make sense that someone would call you and then not say anything, even if they were nervous... usually they just don't call until they finally work up the nerve. so it's not like you could have known it was her. anyway, i hope when you found out it was your crush, you called her back apologizing and asking her out.
