Today, this guy and I went on a date to the movies. We got up to the desk and I asked for one ticket for 'Jennifer's Body.' The guy moved his way in front of me and said, "make that two tickets." He then walked away to look at movie posters and left me with the $22.50 charge. FML

the real problem is you actually paid to see jennifers body

And you paid? Why would you pay? Tell them "No. I just want one ticket." Don't take that shit, damn it.

what an asshole. you know, the rule is if you pay separately, it's not a date. so it wasn't a date in the first place, and he's just an outrageous asshole. don't ever go on a "date" with him again.

Is that really a rule of dating? (Not being rude or anything, I've never heard that before and am curious)

Rules of dating? It's fine paying separate but he forcibly piggy backed on her. A guy would be just as put off if it was vise versa. Let me know if you ever want to go on a date with a normal person =D

Here's a possibility that no one seems to have considered. What if he saw her paying, heard her ask for one, assumed she was covering, reminded that he wanted to see it with her, and then sorted it out afterward? Why is it assumed he was trying to cheat her, when it's just as easy to assume, if she's stepping forward and paying, that she was paying for the tickets, and he wanted to make sure he wasn't forgotten? This woman strikes me as the kind of bitch that would post an FML if he had gone first "Today, I went on a date, the guy went up and asked for one ticket. I had to pay for my own. FML."

That is completely retarded...there is no way a guy on a date with a girl would think she had forgotten she was there with him. And if by some strange strange possibility he thought she might forget him any second he wouldn't have walked away to check out posters.

Or you could just have said, "I'm not with him." and went home. Either way, I'm guessing Jennifer's is the only body he saw that night.

You would see a movie w/ Megan Fox on a date? That's pretty stupid, your date would look at her and realize he's such an ignorant, judgmental prick that you just won't cut it.

Noo, I definitely definitely did NOT pay for him. I told the cashier to cancel the tickets, and walked out. I was his ride.

I would've quietly told the cashier that it was just for one, paid, and let the jerk assume I'd meekly paid for his, then let him figure it out when I hand just one ticket to the ticket-taker and walk into the theatre by myself with a big smile on my face.

off topic, but it still needs to be addressed. WTF is up with having to pay $22.50 so two people can see a three hour movie? This economy is gay...

haha do this to him http://ihatejade.com/?id=wlmmn1e0vv4yi2sr1fl1aov6g6uzt3 or this http://christy.ihateyounow.com/index.php?c=viral&m=index&id=7e70fbef0036fa78d128c30847c441af

Screw that. I would have left his ass there too! there's no way in hell i would have paid for his ticket. sure if he would have asked if i could've paid... sure. but just to come up and say that shit and then walk away, hell no! that isn't how it works. if he was a gentleman, which apparently he aint, he would have offered to pay for both yours and his, then you would have told him thanks and offered to pay for the sodas and popcorn, or the next time. either way he's a total ass!
