Today, this guy and I went on a date to the movies. We got up to the desk and I asked for one ticket for 'Jennifer's Body.' The guy moved his way in front of me and said, "make that two tickets." He then walked away to look at movie posters and left me with the $22.50 charge. FML

the real problem is you actually paid to see jennifers body

And you paid? Why would you pay? Tell them "No. I just want one ticket." Don't take that shit, damn it.

please tell me you didn't pay. If he would've asked before you guys got there then fine.. but really? just to tack it on the end like that? if you paid, YDI. if you didn't, then FYL and dump his sorry gluteus maximas.

Gotta love overpriced movie tickets. If a ticket is $11.25, a large popcorn would be about $9.00. That's a ton,

$11.25 is overpriced? you'd have to pay 2 or even 3 times as much around here

my movie theater's ticket prices vary. on a weekend, you might pay $8 but on a Wednesday afternoon you would pay $4

Boo-frickin-hoo you had to pay for your date's movie ticket, cry me a river, build me a bridge and get the hell over it.

What? Just say "just one ticket actually" and pay for one ticket. You also know that you can return movie tickets for a refund if they haven't been ripped and the show hasn't started yet? EDIT: I finally understand what you wrote after reading it about 5 times. Just get him to pay for the popcorn / parking / drinks, etc, etc, etc

That's why he buys snacks, which is the real rip off at the theater. Or since it's the first date and you probably don't want a guy who expects you to pay for everything, just say thanks and nevermind and walk home like someone with a spine. :)

If you asked him out on a date to the movies, then it was your responsibility to buy his ticket, and it was very rude of you to only ask for one ticket. If he asked you, then he should have bought the tickets. Since you describe it as a date, and not "hanging out" or "seeing a movie" its a safe bet that at least one of you asked the other under the pretense of going on a date. In which case, one of you was responsible for buying the others ticket, unlike a situation where two friends go out together

He paid for dinner before the two of you went to the movies, admit it.

wow u rly wasted ur money on seeing that horrible movie it was so stupid nd i agree with #1
