I read and liked all the books when I was about ten, I am now thirteen and I can't stand the thought of them, they are pointless and boring and are written horribly, it's also a rip off of Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith, a book she read in her teens. And in my opinion this book was not aimed towards fourteen year old girls, it was made for old grannies who think sparkly men are "hot". All in all the book had underdeveloped characters, and, really has she never heard of a thesaurus? It's my generation too. To all the Twilight fans, I am not a hater, I just have enough sense to recognize a good literary text.

I've read both Vampire Diaries and Twilight and there are many similarities, that it was was a hot, mysterious new guy that wore sunglasses and didn't have any school records, there's the love triangle Elena, Damon and Stefan opposed to Edward, Bella and Jacob, Stefan drinks animal blood to sustain him self as does Edward and his family, they all have their "mind tricks" Vampire Diaries also has werewolves and both vampires (Edward and Stefan) are annoying, whiny overprotective boyfriends, must I go on? The difference is that while Bella is a needy depressed girlfriend that can't do anything without her boyfriend and Elena is more independent and has friends. And Vampire Diaries was written in the 1990's, when she would have been a teen/ young adult and twilight wasn't released until the 2000's
