Today, was my 16th birthday and I was supposed to be surprised with a new car. I have overheard my parents talking about bringing it home tonight while I was at a friend's house. We snuck back to my house to see them bring my car home. All I saw was my Dad crash my new car into a street lamp. FML

not really a fml you have parents who would buy you a car for your birthday and i really doubt they wouldn't spend the money to fix it up for you

What your dad probably should have done was just park it in the garage or driveway, rather than drive it into a street lamp. Now it's all banged up...

aww, poor you. You are 16 and your parents bought you a car and all you can do is complain that he wrecked it. I worked 2 jobs 7 days a week to buy a car when I was 16.

Omg shut up spoiled brat. I'm seventeen and I definitely don't expect to get a car from my parents, because they aren't just going to hand me anything I want. I EARN things. Learn the lesson.

I agree with the people saying you're a brat. You get your own car when you're 16 and you're bitching because your parents, in the act of doing something VERY nice for you, accidentally crashed the car? Jesus. The car can be fixed. The fact that your parents got a car for you is sweet and that alone should make you happy for the time being. Don't be so whiny.

fir ur info i'm #61 and i'm not a lier!!!! everyone around my part of connecticut gets a car fir their b-day. and sorry i'm not a guy and don'y give a shit how u spell porshe. and just because u guys r poor lossers w/ sjity parents doesn'tmean u can be hatin on us rich kids. my one job is to look hot and go to school....which i'm very good @ both (lol). i have alot of friends that i hang out w/ in the mean time and especially my amazing bf! so shut the **** up u poor little loserzzz. stop sippin that hateradeeee. lmao! and sorry #110....nobody cares if u have shity parents who lie. and yea...i will admit i'm a spoiled brat...but i'm rly good @ other stuff and goin to go to school to be a vet after highschoollll :)

so you're saying you went from having no car to having a smashed up car that can be fixed for your birthday??? FYL for sure...(sarcasm)

not fml. you're only 16. and you have a car already for free oh and hows this fml anyway? you dont have a car to begin with anyway.

Why the **** are people saying that she should've punched her dad for wrecking her new car?? She should be lucky she even GOT one for her 16th birthday. And most likely her parents are going to fix the damages anyway.

That's not really a fml. I'm 16 and my parents bought me a NEW car. my dad crashed it and now I'm going to have to wait an extra couple of weeks for it. yeah your life is SO epically ******. oh and #125 screw you. your probably going to have everything handed to you you have no perspective on us. you can't say we can't hate you. we can do whatever we godamn feel like. Also 65 "if someone bought y'all a gift and then broke it y'all would still be pissed so, stfu". uh... no I wouldn't. I would realize that it was a ******* accident and not get pissed over it it's no big deal- they will fix it. I'm really tired of people who never feel grateful.

#125, how are you good at school, as you claim, if you can't even spell? I'm less concerned that you can't spell Porsche and more concerned that you can't spell liar, for, or even you. I assume and hope you don't write this way at school. I find it a little bit disturbing that you say that one of your only jobs is to look hot. I'm sorry, that's a job how? I can understand not working to go to school, I focused on my education in high school and managed to earn about $16,000 a year in merit scholarships to pay for college (my parents were willing to pay but that's a heavy burden to place on them when I have two younger brothers as well), because not everyone is lucky enough to be born into a family that can afford to give their 16 year old children Porsches. I feel extremely lucky just to be blessed with parents who love me very much and gave me their 10 year old used Camry, as I described in an earlier post, and I would never take that for granted. And I wouldn't trade my parents for any other parents in the world, no matter what kind of car they offered me.

Wow. Can you say spoiled? I'm 16.5 and I don't even have a permit yet. I'm a ******* first generation American. Do you know how much that sucks? That could be an FML all on it's own.
