i have mad respect for teachers and was one myself for a while. if this happened to you YDI for one reason or another. you really might be a terrible teacher. you may not be an idiot but you're probably either rude, cruel, unreasonable, disrespectful, uptight or creepy. think hard. which is it?

ok, well kids like understandable teachers that have some humor in them. they dont like strict annoying teachers that need to have it their way and dont really teach the kids, they just do what the books says. Also i dont know if you've noticed but kids dont like mean teachers... maybe you should be nicer next year.

If u said half clapped and half Boo'd I might feel bad. But when NOBODY claps Not even other teachers...then that is a statement! When it is 50/50 or something that is some kids don't like u, ur teaching style, or just haven't had u. When nobody claps the whole school knows of u and know enough to not even clap...YDI u have obviously done something or many somethings!

YDI I have to agree with #60. No matter how strict you are, how much work you give, if you're doing your job well, you'll be respected. As people have said, it's time to take a serious look at yourself and your teaching. You're not doing something wrong, you're doing a lot wrong. And for the sake of the kids you're going to be working with, you should take this chance to better your teaching.

If that happens, you did something to deserve it. Try being nice to your students.
