Today, was teacher appreciation day at my school. They played a slideshow of all the teachers. The students cheered wildly for every teacher. When my picture came up, nobody clapped. The whole room was quiet. FML

Today, it was my very last day teaching my dance class. After the class ended, the owner of the studio started clapping and told all my students to give me a hug. No one hugged me. No one. FML

Today, I was at a school rally I was talking to my friends when I noticed the entire gym had gotten quiet. Not knowing why I thought it would be funny to yell out "it's too quiet!" apparently it was a moment of silence for a teacher that had recently died. FML

Today, I gave a big presentation to my class. It included PowerPoint slides and video clips of the country I'd been researching. Another student did a presentation on the same country, except he just read from its Wikipedia page. He practically got a standing ovation. I got a single clap. FML

Today, I had to present a powerpoint in front of my class. When I was finished, no one clapped. On my way back to my seat, I slipped on a pencil and fell straight on my face. That's when everyone clapped. FML

Today, at the elementary school where I teach, the kids all voted for their favorite teacher. I was the only one to receive zero votes. When I asked a small group of students why no one voted for me, one boy replied "because you're the ugliest". FML

Today, I went to attend my summer school class again after being out sick for a week. When I said "Here" during roll call, everyone started cheering and clapping. Apparently, my professor has been badmouthing me while I've been absent for pretending to be sick. I'm sure my grade will be fantastic. FML

The teacher didnt type it like that! so know what you're talking about before you get all "smart". #27 how can you gather that the teacher is a "cool bro" just from this post!? theyre the only teacher that didnt get clapped for..which seems to me like the teacher is a douche!

Sorry for the OP, that's rough. I've had teachers I considered amazing who everyone else bad-mouthed. It's hard to be a Prince(/teacher) and be loved as well as feared... Although if you're teaching grade school there is something to be said for a little warmth now and then. You didn't deserve it directly unless you're arbitrary in your rewards and punishments to kids, so FYL for the fact that most likely you work hard to teach some important lessons but can't be recognized by an age group that hasn't hit maturity yet.

FYL Off-Topic Story ________________________________ Last year my teacher was giving a slideshow so we could take notes and when we finished he forgot I turn off the projectory and started looking at naked photos of his wife LOL.
