Today, we had a NAT for our preparation for college. I did quite well and knew most of the answers. When I turned mine in, I realised I forgot to write my name. The proctor doesn't allow giving back test papers after it is turned in. And no, I can't retake it. FML

how do you forget to write your name on it? if its anything like it is here, the instructor tells you like 15 times to write your name and fill everything out.

Maybe, since they have no record of you taking the test, you can talke it again.

Look at #78 before concluding that you have the best grammar.

I agree, you should check over each test no matter what it's for and you should put your name first each time. But hey, everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Some bigger then others. To the person above me, I have good grammer! BTW Your picture looks just like that of a person I know in my orchestra class at school! Strange...

Welcome to the wonderful world of public education. Where common sense is out the window, and rigid established academic rules skirt the boundaries of reason. After all, it'd make more sense to put a ding in your potential future achievements over a small, non-grievous-injury-to-others-mistake, than the simple act of having him hand back your paper, watch you sign your name, and hand it back. Because that might make sense. The entire world operates on this system, so learn it well!

The amount of posts inferring to the OP's intelligence as per the post outlining her mistake, distresses me. Take a good look at Einstein's early academic records and behaviors. He made non-stop simple, what could be considered 'common sense' mistakes. And now the modern world is the way it is because of his insights. Food for thought.
