Today, when I was unpacking all of my stuff, my parents declared that they are going to live in Australia, and have found me a 'friend'. I am a 14 year old girl at boarding school, and my friend is my new foster mum. FML

This is awful. I hope you find some other adults that you can be close to and take an interest in you. Please remember that this about them and not you; it's their selfishness and neglect, not because you are not a worthwhile person. I am so sorry to hear this.

soooo sorry that happened :( your parents are really mean and unthiughtful. I hope that they realize what they did was wrong and feel horrible. but what comes around goes around so they prob. won't have a fun time in Australia. hope you make lots of really good friends who support you and love you lots at school.

Wow! This is the worst FML I have read! Even sending a kid to boarding school seems cold and harsh to me.I think Prince Harry and Prince William were sent off too, so maybe you could use that to help make yourself strong. Lots of the rich and famous get sent to boarding schools for one reason or another. Make a good friend or two, or as many as you can and they will be your family now. Stick together. Another really good strategy when you find yourself alone at boarding school, college, etc. is to immediately join a club or team and stick with it. They will automatically become your close group and you won't be so alone. I hope your new step mom is the best!
