Today, while at a party, Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" started playing. For being the only one who didn't know the lyrics, I had beer thrown on me, my shirt stolen, and I was locked outside for half an hour. It's below freezing. FML

Today, I got wasted at a party and went out to my car to get something. I went back to the house and realized I got locked out. After knocking on the door, ringing the doorbell, and shouting "LET ME INNNN" my friend called and asked where I was. That's when I realized I was at the wrong house. FML

Today, I went to a party with a friend. All I remember is passing out on the couch. About 10 minutes ago, I was woken up by a bucket of cold water and thrown out by the guy who lives there. I'm still dripping and very cold, and I have no idea where the hell I am. FML

Today, I got drunk until morning at a college friend's apartment with bunch of strangers. Some officials came in due to the noise and I tried to scare them away by pretending to sing a latin song of worship I made up, thinking they'd respect the gathering if it was a religious one. FML

Today, I was woken up and kicked out of my friend's party at 3:00 in the morning. This wouldn't have been so bad if someone hadn't stolen my shoes. I had to walk for an hour in the rain, in my socks. FML

Today, I had drinks at a friend's house before going out to a concert. I still had a bottle of beer left, so I brought it along with me. I got kicked out five minutes into the show for bringing my own drink, which is apparently against the rules. I paid $75 to get kicked out over a $3 drink. FML

Today, I went to a party. Although I wasn't drinking, I was still afraid the cops would bust me. Halfway through the party, the cops showed up. I tried to hop a fence, ripping my pants and cutting my leg in the meantime. It wasn't until was on the ground that I found out there was a gate. FML

Today, ever supportive of my friends, I went to a concert and tried to really get into the music. I was jumping and dancing, only to realize I was at the wrong concert. My friend's band was playing next door. I spent half an hour dancing with strangers to music I didn't even really like. FML

Today, I was at a karaoke bar. After a few drinks, I gave it a go. Halfway through “Total Eclipse of the Heart” I got so into it, I knocked over the mic stand. The mic flew off, hit the DJ, who then hit the emergency stop button, cutting off the music. I froze as the bar erupted into laughter. I did get a free Coke for my “performance,” which was something. FML

so you are at a party, how exactly did they figure out that you didn't know the lyrics? did they demand that you recite it with them? kinda bullshit at a party to do that. I'm not a music buff but I know a few verses.

Point 1: It was a man. Learn to read. Point 2: That is possibly the most famous pop song ever. Point 3: The lyrics are incredibly easy to fake if you don't know them all. And the fact that the OP wasn't even smart enough to do that means he definitely deserved it.

It really probably is the most popular song ever. How SAD is that???!!!!!! It has more itunes downloads than any other song, really f*cking scary if you ask me. I will give Journey that they WERE a good band back in their day, and their hits were decent for their time. I have no idea why this song would still be all that popular, but apparently it is. IMO Journey WAS a decent band, so WERE a lot of classic rock bands. However times have moved on and now days they can't even be considered to be mediocre. I LOVE Three Dog Night, does that mean I think they are this super great band?... No, but I'm sure they were and I still like to listen to them every so often. As for Journey, I can't say I'd run screaming if I heard one of their songs, but if I was tossed shirtless outside in the cold I'd prolly wait til the song was over to go back inside.

wow...its like jingle bells everyone in the english speaking world know that song. and everyone who has been in a bar or gotten drunk knows that song. do i think you deserved the harshness? nah thats a lil over board but u definatley deserved to get a lot of funny looks so ha!
